UNIVERSAL INSULATING PU FOAM 750ML
The Universal Insulating PU Foam (750 ml) is a one‑component, self‑expanding polyurethane foam used for sealing, insulating, filling and gap‑filling applications. After application it expands to fill voids, cracks, cavities, and joints — then cures to a firm, insulation‑grade foam that adheres to many common building materials such as wood, concrete, brick, metal, stone, PVC and similar. The foam provides thermal insulation, sound insulation and helps in sealing against drafts, moisture, dust, and air leakage. Once cured, it can be trimmed, sanded, or painted, making it versatile for finishing surfaces.
This foam is useful for installing windows and doors, sealing gaps around pipes or conduits, filling cavities in walls or ceilings, insulating in construction or renovation projects, and general sealing or insulation work in residential, commercial or industrial settings.
Key Features & Benefits
Self‑expanding and high fill capacity — expands to fill irregular gaps, cavities or joints thoroughly.
Strong adhesion — bonds well with many surfaces like concrete, brick, wood, metal, PVC, stone, plaster, etc.
Good thermal and acoustic insulation — helps reduce heat transfer and sound through walls, joints, or gaps.
Moisture & draft sealing — seals against water seepage, air drafts, dust, and improves energy efficiency.
Once cured, can be trimmed/sanded/painted — ideal for smooth finishing after filling or sealing.
Durable & stable after curing — resists shrinkage or post-expansion for long-term performance.
Multipurpose use — suitable for door/window frame installation, pipe penetrations, wall void filling, roof gaps, cavity filling, insulation, soundproofing, etc.
General Specifications (Typical for 750 ml PU Foam)
| Specification | Typical Detail / Value |
| Volume (can) | 750 ml aerosol/gun‑grade container |
| Expansion Yield | Yields several dozen litres of cured foam (exact yield depends on gap size and application method) |
| Curing Mechanism | Moisture‑curing polyurethane foam (cures by absorbing humidity from air) |
| Skin Formation Time | Around 8–12 minutes (depending on temperature/humidity) |
| Cut‑to‑Trim Time | Typically 20–40 minutes after application (varies by conditions) |
| Material Compatibility | Concrete, brick, wood, metal, PVC, plaster, stone, masonry, many plastics (with exceptions) |
| Insulation Properties | Provides thermal insulation and some sound insulation — reduces heat loss/ gain and dampens noise through filled gaps |
| Water / Air Sealing | Provides effective seal against air infiltration, drafts, dust, some moisture (not a waterproof membrane) |
| Application Uses | Gap filling, cavity filling, sealing around windows/doors, pipe/ conduit penetration sealing, wall/ceiling voids, insulation, soundproofing, renovation/repair, joint sealing |
