SP-38 GEAR BOX INGCO (RH150028) D-58
🧰 What It Is
The Gear Box (also called the gearcase or gearbox housing) is the structural enclosure that houses and supports the internal gear train of the rotary hammer. It forms the rigid mechanical framework in which gears, shafts, bearings, spacers, and related transmission parts are mounted.
Instead of being just one gear, this is the assembly housing that contains and aligns the drive gears and related parts that transfer motor rotation into the hammering and drilling mechanisms.
⚙️ Technical Function
The gearbox serves several critical functions:
1. Structural Support
Provides a solid frame to hold gears, shafts, and bearings in the correct positions.
Maintains alignment under heavy loads and impact forces.
2. Gear Protection
Encloses the gear train so that gears are protected from dust, debris, and direct contact with external elements during operation.
3. Load Distribution
Distributes mechanical loads generated during drilling and hammering across the gear train and into the tool’s main housing.
4. Alignment and Mounting
Houses precise bore bores, bosses, and fixtures for gear shafts and bearings.
Ensures proper meshing and spacing of gears for smooth power transfer.
5. Maintain Lubrication
Retains gear grease or lubricant around moving parts, helping reduce friction and wear.
